Veilwood is province land of mystery, intrigue, and conspiracies. Individuals from the Veilwood are known as 'Veilish'. It is believed that Veilwood has recently become subject to some kind of curse or other such magical phenomena.
People have begun disappearing, the birds exhibit strange behavior, and the woods themselves creak and shift in the night. Most settlements enforce curfews as creatures known as nightwalkers prey on Veilish who open their doors when the night comes knocking.

The Cursebringer
Someone has cursed the Veilwood - but who?
The Voivode and the Vampire Counts
Voivode Vesper Vermillion is the leader of the Veilwood and has been since the founding of the province. Vesper rules alone but takes counsel from a tight inner circle of immortals who represent the long- term interests of Veilwood such as vampires, liches, fae, ents, and daemons. The earlier dusks certainly suit the vampires but would the Voivode curse her land?
The Fae Queen and the Faerie Courts
Many suspect the Fae Queen and her courts. Once worshipped and revered in the Veilwood now cursed under the breaths of the Veilish as the source of all ire. Villagers that once laid offerings at Fae shrines now hammer in bounties for Fae heads on noticeboards. Faeries are mischievous and playful yes - but would they really curse their own forests?
Hell and the Demonic Chants
The hellpact was signed by the Voivode in 666. Its terms were said to be fair trade and safe travel between Hell and the Veilwood. Thousands of hellborn such as Tieflings have settled in the Veilwood with their families. But is it mere coincidence that 666 years after it was signed the curse began to appear or was this the price to pay when the Chantry came?
