Cormoran
What — A giant (~50–60+ ft, "as large as a keep"), one of Laewendas's bandit lords; controls the territory around Marmouth / Marmoth just north of Mindel Cromelon's lands.
Threat — Deadly (situational). Not seen in combat, but his footstep flattened a scout and horse two-dimensional overnight (Session 22); GM flags he "needs to die at some point." Caveat: locals say he's "fair" and non-aggressive if paid, so the deadliness is conditional on provoking him.
Observed abilities — None observed in play. The party has only seen aftermath and heard descriptions — no rolls, attacks, saves, or stat block ever surfaced.
- Travels in enormous leaps — lands heel-to-toe, ~100 ft between the only two prints found; described as falling "like lightning from a clear sky" (Session 22). Stomp/landing crushed Tony and his horse flat (no damage numbers stated).
- GM jokingly noted players' theory he "casts pass without trace / invisibility" — unconfirmed in-fiction speculation, not a demonstrated ability.
Resistances / immunities / weaknesses — None observed.
Tactics & behavior — Sudden aerial leap-attacks: arrives from the sky with no clear direction (thunder-like rumble "from everywhere"), stomps on impact, then bounds miles away. Otherwise runs a protection racket — accepts "a pittance" in tribute and leaves payers alone ("he's big and he's fair… we pay him his pittance and he leaves us be"). No demonstrated trigger for fleeing or backing down; unknown whether he fears Fenric or spellbreakers — no evidence either way.
Disposition to the party — Neutral / unaware. Party is currently inside his territory but has not met or paid him. House Bloodworth has a standing order (via Sending) for Silithane to kill or capture him.
Status — At large. Never directly encountered; first known of via his handiwork in Session 22.
Gaps — No AC, HP, attacks, save DCs, damage dice, resistances, immunities, or weaknesses exist in any source. Treat as unstatted. Note: name is rendered inconsistently across sources (Cormoran / Cormoran / Cormoran / Comoran / Cormoran / Cormoran).
SUMMARY: Unstatted leaping giant bandit lord; flattens victims on landing, otherwise takes tribute.
