Previously on Reclaiming Orathos

The tour of the deep lab gets stranger by the room. Tink proves the Ancients had toilets — and therefore mouths. A storeroom holds trousers cut for hooves and tails. Ten thousand unreadable books fill a library where Lash signs up for a card stamped "Secret Underground Bunker." And Rosa, braced for laughter, claims the lever behind her window controls the sun. She burns her hoarded sunlight scroll to find out, and Lash's sun-eyes read the truth: the lever is no lever, but a disguised sun-thing marked dawn. The sun answers her too. It is not her friend. It is not her enemy. It does not care that she exists.

Then the masks come out. Malaika — hooded, wigged, possibly on stilts, and someone Dr. Lee does not remember hiring — walks them past a double airlock to a room-sized pool of green panache, filled one drop at a time for several hundred thousand years. This is the stuff that armed the Autarch. The deal is put on the table: replace your blood, take her power. Every player refuses.

Now Dr. Lee has seventeen oath-bound scientists, no plan, and Magra as collateral — and a dragon-slaying sword is waiting in a sleeping dragon's skull...

SUMMARY: Recap of Session 53 — the lab tour and Rosa's sun-lever, the sun's indifference to Lash, Malaika's reservoir of Autarch-grade panache refused by every player, and the sword left in the bone dragon's skull.
