Vana Vermillion
Youngest daughter — "and therefore seemingly less important" — of the Vermillion family that rules the Veilwood, which makes her the child of the Voivode Vesper Vermillion. (Whether Vesper is her mother or her father is unsettled — the ship's spy said "father," the Veilish pamphlet calls the Voivode an unwed "she"; the conflict is logged on Vesper's page.) She crossed to Orathos hidden in a concealed VIP cabin aboard The Expedition Ship with Uva Blackheart; the party found her there during an unrecorded stretch of the voyage, and Draak scared her negligent guard into opening the cabin and then protected her for the last ten-plus days of the crossing ("flirty friends," per Magra's recap — Drak may not know he was flirting). Her presence on the island is a secret: nobody in Rivalon would name a child after the Veilwood ruler's daughter, and Ysolde's arrival speech pointedly never mentioned her.
Session 7
- First named on-screen — as the target of a hunt, not yet found. The ship's spy
Figueroa is ~85–99% sure she boarded The Expedition Ship and never disembarked,
and hired both Fenric and Silithane (60 gold each) to locate her: long black
hair, pale skin, black dress, an attendant holding a parasol overhead. Confirmed as the
daughter of the Voivode of the Veilwood, supposed to be staying safe in
Varia, not returning to the island. - The job came from House Bloodworth, and it was the same standing tasking on both men rather than two separate errands: the spy laid it on Silithane knowing Fenric already had it and deliberately said nothing — "she doesn't tell you that Fenric's on that job, but I think you'd suss that out after a week or two because you're both like looking for something" ([02:48:58]). The other player's wiki records it the same way.
- Neither searcher found her this session ("definitely not on this deck"). The actual
discovery and hidden-cabin meeting with Uva Blackheart happens in the unrecorded
tail of the voyage and is only recapped afterward — see below.
Session 8
- Recapped as the party's major voyage discovery; she landed with the ship at Fort Foothold.
- Draak blurted her name to Sir Danica as "the fairest maiden you have rescued," turning the knight's polite interest suddenly genuine — and Silithane reported "we have found the princess" to the Varian spy network via Figueroa, who wants the whole subject forgotten.
Threads
- Dormant since Session 8. Reporting her found closed the tasking, and in the forty-plus sessions since, neither Fenric nor Silithane has been asked another question about her. Why the Voivode's youngest daughter smuggled herself into a war zone, and whether her parent knew, has never been answered — and the Veilwood is the party's declared destination.
- Her house is unpopular at home. The much-thumbed screed distrusting the Voivode that the party found in the changeling's Gwyndinas lair (Session 19) was carried across the sea by someone who had fled the Veilwood; a second, player-facing pamphlet makes the same case. See Vesper Vermillion.
