Ornston Keep

A keep in northern Rivalon, home to a great knight — an honour-bound Breton who once fought shoulder-to-shoulder with Eldrich the Elder and values his word, oath, and trust above all else. Like many Rivalonians, he pledged his service to whoever wears the crown / sits the throne — which now binds him, through his own honour code, to serve Laewendas: to break the oath would brand him an oathbreaker. Should Laewendas fall, he would become an incredibly valuable asset and ally.

Eldrich the Elder is emphatic: do not burn it down, hassle it, or pass too near it — the great knight would surely slay the party, and he's worth keeping for the eventual peace.

• Flagged by Eldrich the Elder as a place to avoid on the route north: its oath-bound knight serves Laewendas by honour alone, and the party is told not to attack the keep or skirt too close.
