The Serpent

A retired arena legend of mainland Atollia — a huge black-and-white scaled snake-man (~8–9 ft, a large creature, with a cobra-like hood and a long segmented tail), once a crowd-favorite gladiator champion, now old, gray, and bag-eyed in a coaching role at the Gwyndinas Colosseum. Also called Snake Eyes, his stare like two dice frozen on ones. Thalia's childhood hero from her Atollian youth; her mother loved him too. His original arena was shut down when Laewendas took his home region 200 miles north, so he relocated to Gwyndinas to train the next generation of snake-folk fighters. (The GM also repeatedly called him "Jack" / "Old Man Jack.")

Session 12

• Spotted by Thalia training behind the champions' glass; she bought 98%-off clearance merch (auto-signed by his reflexive Sharpie hand) and Draak got a matching "I love Snake" wristband.
• Trained the whole party for a one-week camp (treadmills, weights, sparring, reaction drills), granting each a +1 (Drak/Magra Athletics, Silithane/Thalia initiative, Lash HP).
• Declined Drak's repeated pleas to fight in the arena as their sixth ("too old, too out of shape") and is too obscure in Rivalon to sign the party's leaving papers — though he offered to sign anyway and to cheer for them at their matches.
