We camp outside Ankley — and Lash can't help herself. She corners poor Vernon Cleave in the bunk room, flashes her sun-and-moon eyes, and "warns" him to be careful. He doesn't sleep a wink. Come morning, his nerve snaps clean: he throws down his sword and runs. So much for the last villager brave enough to stand up to us.
We vote to hunt the pirates anyway — call it an apology. Silithane "portals" the whole party (boat and all) to the spike-rock island, which Fenric clocks instantly as Feather Fall in a fancy hat. There we find 1,400-year-old white ruins where nothing grows, a prehistoric longsword in a dead field, and — Thalia's horror — fifty-plus celestials ranked beneath the stone, plus one aberration that feels her looking. She tells nobody.
Then Drak wanders into the pirate camp and it's on. Roger Payton dies in his own trap, finished by his abused captive Tegrak's blade. Devlin surrenders — and casually drops that this crew murdered Vernon's father.
Now we sail for Foothold: a bounty to claim, a prisoner to deliver, and a name on looted paper — Minal Chronovamp. And under that island? Something we haven't dared open.
SUMMARY: A recap of Session 10 — Lash breaks Vernon, the party fake-portals to the island, finds the celestial-haunted ruins, and slays pirate king Roger Payton.
