Rowan

A pale-skinned, blonde Inner Guard of Gwyndinas, posted at the gate of the heavily-warded inner-city Palisade in full plate with a tower shield. Warmer than his post would suggest — and evidently more than a common soldier, since he can cast Bless.

Session 17

• Draak walked up to the inner-city gate hunting for a "person of merit" to sign the party's leaving-papers. Rowan couldn't let him in (the inner city houses Queen Ysolde, foreign diplomats, the Mage's Society registrar and tax-paying Varian nobles), but offered a house-call lead: Eldrich the Elder, hiring a capable group to kill one of Laewendas's inner circle.
• Agreed to carry Drak's message to the Elder and to arrange for him to watch the party's next arena fight. Took Fenric's carved wooden figurines of the party (and the Land Boat) as a preview gift.
• Cast Bless on Drak as they parted.
• Drak insisted on renaming him "Ruin" ("You tell him I am Drakkor, you are Ruin, and we are now friends") and uses that throughout — but his name is Rowan.
