Anthropocentrists
A human-supremacist street gang operating inside the palisade of
Gwyndinas — young, angry men who grew up in pre-Reclamation Orathos and
slipped through the wall posing as harmless, then resumed murdering non-human
residents (especially catfolk) on their way home from work. They sold the fresh
bodies to a black-market butcher who skinned them for beastfolk leather and
blood — a body-trade supply chain the party broke open in Session 16.
They style themselves after "the human emperor" — the God-Emperor who slew
all the gods (see World History) — twisting that god-killing legacy into
justification for exterminating every other species. Members are marked by red
bandanas and stained-glass-style supremacist tattoos, and fight with daggers
and single-shot black-powder firearms.
Notable Members
- Rickard Frey — the gang's leader: an elderly paladin in heavy plate, wielding a
longsword and a tome of hateful hymns, channelling "the one true god" for
devastating radiant smites. His critical 87-radiant smite killed Ashlyn before
her Soulbind reflected the blow and killed him in return. A post-mortem
Identify exposed the irony at his core: he was 132 years old and himself an
orc — the very kind of non-human his creed existed to destroy. Deceased.
Status
Dismantled in Session 16: the gang was captured, killed, or surrendered in the
South Wall alley ambush led by detective Malcolm Locke. Survivors were processed
under Rivalon's wartime justice — execution, branding and Firebrand conscription
to the front line, or imprisonment with possible rehabilitation. The butcher who
bought their bodies was also taken alive by Thalia as a lead into the wider
trade. Whether the supremacist kill-gangs were a one-off cell or a newly-surfaced,
organised supplier remained an open question — Malcolm Locke had never seen
Rickard at one of these handoffs before.
