Laewendas — THREAT
What — Elf usurper queen of Rivalon ("the Quisling Queen"); seat at Castle Cathalon; the Coalition's ultimate target.
Threat — Unknown (strategic: deadly). As a personal combatant she is unscouted; as a faction she is the campaign's apex threat — nine henchmen, multiple mercenary camps, and a capital she "hides" inside.
Observed abilities — None witnessed in play. What is attributed to her is political, not combat:
- Curse on Ponterford forbidding children, enforced via the Snatcher — author/mechanism unconfirmed Session 39, Session 40.
- Commands at least one permanent spellcaster's infrastructure (green Continual Flame torches, scoured tomb-names) at the Snatcher's Cave — done by her agents, not shown by her Session 40.
- (Gap: no spell, no attack, no save DC, no spell level ever observed for Laewendas herself.)
Resistances / immunities / weaknesses — None observed. One soft point of leverage: per the tax-man Thunt, her treasury is bone dry — "not as rich as she pretends" Session 43. Strategic weakness, not combat.
Tactics & behavior — Fights through proxies, never in person — described as one who "hides herself and tortures her subjects" Session 21. Scorched-earth and terror at distance: razed roads, salted fields, hanged Reclamation soldiers, burned schools/mailboxes. Vindictive and petty when crossed (shutting off a village's plumbing over a slight, Session 11). No flee/surrender behavior observed — she has never been cornered.
Disposition to the party — Hostile. Their named #1 target; they have killed/turned multiple of her agents (Garruk the Red dead, Toeskinner / Penway Hat Man / Simon dead, Ghoul of Gythfield and others defected) and cleared the Snatcher's Cave Session 39–Session 43. She has no confirmed personal awareness of them yet.
Status — At large, unscouted, holed up in Cathalon. Last referenced Session 43 (party weighing routes to her siege).
SUMMARY: Apex faction boss, never fought in play; no combat stats observed.
