Tegrak

Roger Payton's abused captive — an orc abducted by pirates as a child from Amos, an island in Atollia's pirate waters (per Devlin's Identity spell; the GM's nearby marker was Trivisk), kept with the crew "too long." All he remembers of home: his dad made shoes, and there was a beach. Has never heard of the Reclamation. Freed in the battle on Ankley Island (Session 10), where he killed Payton with the pirate king's own Giant Cutlass and gained his first class level (Fighter 1, the table guesses). Now travels with The Shattered Coin, who mean to claim the Payton bounty in his name and find his home.

Session 10

• Protected mid-battle by a raging Draak, who clubbed the pirate abusing him and later appointed himself his guardian: "Tegrak, hero of the pirate killing! His dad made shoes. That's all I know."
• With newfound courage, picked up Payton's oversized cutlass and pushed it through the trapped, 1-HP pirate king for the killing blow — then dropped the handle, shocked at himself. First kill, first class level.
• Cried whenever Magra pressed about home or the crew; Thalia walked him to a quiet beach for the comfort action. Per Drak: the bounty is his, since he struck the final blow.

Session 11

• Walked away sadly after the bounty was briefly paid to Silithane's old-woman disguise instead of him; Silithane caught up and handed the full coin purse over uncounted.
• Paused, weighed the pouch, nodded — then read the sign over his head and walked straight into the Reclamation Training Center to enlist. Now officially a Reclamation recruit at Fort Foothold. No longer traveling with the party.
