Snuffles

The little mole-man alchemist of the Menagoles — one of the town's skilled residents who vanished under Laewendas's regime (Session 48). He turns up alive at the forbidden Middle Tor mine, put to work trying to refine the glowing crystal the mine digs — i.e. to reproduce the Shard of the Autark substance that Dr. Provostinalkov has already learned to make.

(Named as "Snuffles" (also heard "Snuggles"); the mole-man alchemist seen at the mine is inferred to be him — see Canon Questions.)

Session 48 (missing)

• Reported by townsfolk as a kidnapped alchemist, a mole-man who disappeared weeks-to-months ago — one of the vanishings the party ties to Orathos Keep and the disappearances of skilled folk.

Session 50 (found)

• Spotted by Lash through the alchemy-shed window, grinding the mine's glowing ore-dust with herbs into a glowing bowl — which then turns to black sludge in the beaker and fails; he curses and starts over.
• The party pieces it together: this is the missing mole-man alchemist, brought to the mine to process the crystal into the god-slaying material — the same feat the kidnapped smiths and alchemists here are all being forced toward.
