War Machine Club
A two-handed greatclub Silithane won from Mean Claude's claw machine (d100: 43)
in trade for the Knife of Ooze Spreading, plus a dusty bottle of sewer wine.
Its enchantment is defensive, not offensive — in a test spar with Thalia the
club lifted itself to parry. It's one of the strongest auras in The Urina's prize
cages, but nobody respectable enchants a big club: it "reeks" of being either
cursed or a back-alley rush job. Too unwieldy for Silithane to use — it wants
"someone a bit thuggish."
Session 4
- Won at The Urina; the GM secretly applied a possible cursed modifier to the
claw-machine roll. Currently unattuned dead weight in Silithane's inventory.
Session 7
- Confirmed cursed and disattuned. Silithane offered the club to the newborn
Draak as "the bad one," warning it's cursed but not how (the curse is now flagged on
the item sheet for public knowledge, though no one has read what it does — "it has a
ghost in it or something," per Lash). Drak, afraid of it, handed it to a
dark-elf ghost-catcher, who placed a hand on his head and cast a dispel to break
the club's attunement (disappointed to find he wasn't actually cursed yet), then set
the club aside out of the way. - Drak's working weapon is instead his Lash-spiked Improved Great Club (+2 damage).
Whether the War Machine Club returns to the party is open. (This likely settles the
Canon Questions item about whether "Drak's club" is the War Machine Club — it is
not; the War Machine Club was given up and disattuned.)
