Amulet of Crossed Fists
An iron necklace of two crossed forearms ending in clenched fists, found in the false bottom of a smugglers' chest in the Grey Vale Cave (Session 24), alongside a concealed-weapon kit. Uncommon and magical, it grants benefits to unarmed / weaponless combat — but only while the wearer carries no weapons at all (a fighting style suited to a smuggler who mustn't look dangerous).
Valmora reads it (Religion 29) as a genuine religious artifact of an unnamed faith built around defending oneself while appearing harmless — opposed to her own domain of death — passed down a long line of criminals and possibly monks, never melted down, washed up in out-of-the-way Orathos where the god-killing Empire never reached. The specific god/demigod/virtue it honors is unknown. Would suit Fenric (works with his claws if he sets aside his other weapons), though attunement was left undecided.
