Previously on Reclaiming Orathos

Dawn breaks on the 30th, and we slam the riverside raider camp from two sides at once. While Magra's southern pincer carves through the beastmen — toe-skinners, a masked pig man, a giant — we creep past the Candleman's shrine, invisible, and burn the fireball clean out of Simon the fire-mage before he can blink. Then it gets weird. The Penway Hat Man folds himself into his own hat and swallows Jex whole into a spiralling pink-and-black void — ten minutes to oblivion! — until Thalia whips in, drags him back out, and Hail-of-Thorns the bastard dead, claiming the hat for herself. The Grinning Gutter reaches in and carves out Fenric's spleen before we drop him. And Thunt? The pudgy little tax-man in the unkillable bubble shrugs off every blade, rope, and poison we own — "because I am God" — so we strike a truce and let him wander off, but not before he spills the bombshell: Laewendas's coffers are bone dry.

The cave is ours. Ponterford is done. Next stop — the Veilwood... and eventually, Cathalon.

SUMMARY: A dawn pincer takes the riverside camp — Hat Man and Gutter fall, the unkillable Thunt walks (revealing Laewendas is broke), and with Ponterford done the party turns toward the Veilwood.
