Rhiannon
One of the Thirteen witches of Orathos (see the Church of the Witches) — "the Night Witch" (the silent K optional), the witch most tied to Rivalon, who spends much of her time travelling its land. Known only through contradictory legend; she has never been met by the party.
Session 33 (named)
- The subject of the Ponterford sermon (Magra and Silithane present), told as two opposite stories by the Covenite:
- The heroine — a commoner who rose squire → knight-errant → knight-with-honours → witch through battlefield heroics, who rides into war on horseback and inspires poor children to dream of knighthood.
- The monster — a witch who conjures the night and steals the day to creep into houses, steal children, and boil them to eat the decades they never lived.
- The Covenite's point: the witches are just people, and which story one believes "says more about you than about the witch."
- Both legends sit uncomfortably close to The Snatcher's own profile (rides in on horseback; takes children at night), a possible lore thread — or a red herring — for the Ponterford arc.
