Dorian Montagu

A 57-year-old halfling — once athletically built (a bodyguard or laborer), with a once-bright smile — who wandered into the Clapton's Hammer tavern in Gwyndinas and died there, killed by magical means with no visible wounds. The grief demon beneath the inn took his will to live.

• Found "sitting" dead in the tavern's corner, where the sad innkeeper had been serving him fresh food and drink for weeks under the belief he was just a sleepy regular.
• Identified by Silithane's Identify spell; his discovery (and a recalled earlier death of a young guest) cracked open the haunted-inn mystery and led the party into the basement.
