The Shattered Coin
The party's chosen group name (the Gamemaster keeps calling them "The Cracked Coin"
or "The Crackers"). One of several parallel adventuring groups in the campaign world;
the GM only syncs the groups' timelines for major events.
Members: Thalia, Fenric, Silithane, Llashanna, Draak (replacing
Kain as of Session 8), Ashlyn, Magra, Raphael, Fiona.
Session 3
- Evicted squatters from Scrawbles' manor in Port Quaybay; handled the loot/tax
fallout with Taximus Maximus. - Took (and loosely settled) the courtesans' debt job against Handsome Jack.
- Discovered The Urina fighting arena; Magra & Ashlyn signed up as "Blood and
Thunder" (to the death), Lash as "The Hammer". - Keep being mistaken for a rival adventuring group; joked about hiring a "distinguisher".
Session 4
- Swept fight night at The Urina: four bouts, four wins (Silithane, Lash,
Fenric, Magra & Ashlyn's 2-v-4 upset) under the Rat King's gaze. - Freed Handsome Jane (unpaid, on principle); accidentally released Laila,
who plans to stow away on their boat. - Silithane joined the party (won his freedom via a Sleep-spell technicality).
- Set to sail for Orathos tomorrow night; gear requests open while Varia
still pays.
Session 8
- Landed on Orathos at Fort Foothold after 25 days at sea — with a roster
change: Kain did not walk off the ship, and Draak did. - The parallel "Red Group" got itself arrested over the road tax it never heard
about; the Coin, by contrast, earned a pip for actually engaging with Foothold
("The other people spent 43 seconds in foothold, and 20 of those seconds were
asking how to leave"). - Bought a shared vehicle, The Land Boat; got Reclamation Signets, road-tax
receipts and 1 inspiration each; ratified the settlement hex (option 1) with
Brebo Goldfang; and set off for Ankley.
Session 21
- Roster shrinks to five. Draak leaves (Ryan stepping away) and Ashlyn is
recalled to the Veilwood — the active party is now Thalia, Fenric,
Silithane, Llashanna and Magra, plus Lash's salamander Squishy and
an incoming front-line hireling recruited at Keraford. - Wrapped business in Gwyndinas (the Shard of the Autark hand-off, gem
identification, armor upgrades, a free familiar) and left the capital for good
this arc, pulling the land boat out through New Neaton and
Gristgrinder to the staging town of Keraford. - Crossed the Palisade at last, traveling beyond the wall with
Eldrich the Elder's caravan — and walked straight into the Mindel Cromelon
bridge ambush that ends the session.
Session 22
- Talked off the bridge: Eldrich the Elder and Lash's archmage bluff bought passage past Mindel Cromelon for a three-cart toll of decoy garbage; the scientist's cart was saved by Liv & Viv's sleight of hand. The guide Dervin was exposed as the traitor who sold the route.
- Gained a member: newcomer Jex (Nat — an amnesiac slime archer) joins from a dissolving Reclamation militia troop met at the giant Cormoran's footprint. A second player, Nico, may join next session to bring the party "back to full power."
- Lost an ally: at the Keep Grow Inn the caravan's spy-healer Tycho was killed (at Lash's nod), and the party ends weighing four roads — Ponterford, Marmoth, Giffield, or the Gray Veil Cave.
Session 39
- Leveled to 7 — the active six (Thalia, Silithane, Llashanna, Magra, Fenric, Jex) take their first level-up since the under-cave grind.
- A new mission: oathed to raid Laewendas's upstream cave alongside the Varian spy Timothy Leisten — clear ~20+ mercenaries, free the sacrificed children, and decide the fate of a life-stealing shrine.
- Roster shrinks again: Valmora (Nico) leaves the campaign for good. The on-screen six plus pets (Squishy, Tony, Silithane's crow) and an NPC war-band carry on.
