Sven Swiftfoot
A dwarven courier for the Northern Trading Company in Ponterford — runes tattooed up his big hairy forearms, a great red beard, and a body decked head to toe in packages and satchels. He delivers "no matter the weather" (a four-minute song confirms it), but only as a company delivery agent: he may carry goods to and from the company, but not private post, since Laewendas outlawed the postal service. He pines for the old days of true mail-carrying.
A kindred spirit to Thalia — when she revealed her Postmaster sigil he panicked, then fell in love with the idea, treasuring the old stamps ("stomps") she showed him.
(Name heard as "Sven Swiftfoot"; the diarisation rendered some of his lines under the label "Pam." Spelling unconfirmed.)
Session 32
- Introduced himself to Thalia with a song about his love of delivery; bonded with her over pre-Laewendas stamps bearing old King Aethelric's and Queen Ysolde's heads.
- Told her Ponterford's old postmaster was burned at the pyre (with the church-lady, librarian, schoolteacher, and the hated Terry), name unknown — and that the snatcher takes anything "underage," even a building.
- Made his first sanctioned delivery as Thalia's courier: a thank-you note carried across the room to the clerk Ragnar.
