Brebo Goldfang
A mouse (per Lash's nature check — "smaller and bolder" than a rat, ~60% sure) who
works at The Urina (name badge and all) and runs the arena's gambling ring — the
only sewer dweller who lives above ground, in a manor house with a private bar,
gaming table, and sewer-ladder basement entrance. An avid collector and shark of the
trading card game Conquest.
Session 4
- Taught Lash Conquest, gifted her a water starter deck, and gallantly
gave change on her over-bet gold coin (9 silver, 9 copper) despite winning 2 of 3. - Smitten (Lash's nat-20 insight: "This guy wants to f— you" — correct). Took her
home through the secret passage; next morning's big-spender shopping spree
produced a deluxe +1 bedroll, with more gifts promised before the boat leaves.
Session 5
- Delivered the promised mega shopping trip in the Noble District: paid for Lash's
reinforced apron (+1 AC, fire resist), a silver ingot, a full smithing supply
haul, and her extra-large wizard hat — bank scripts, no hesitation. - Said goodbye at the docks ("for no related reason, I'm going to the land shop") —
then bought every plot of Orathos land he could and boarded
The Expedition Ship to show Lash the deeds. He's been aboard all day. - Holding court at the card rug — winning steadily, deliberately sandbagging "so he
doesn't get stabbed," and calling Lash "my girlfriend."
Session 6
- Unrolled his land deed and asked the party where to settle; after their polls
pointed to the Veilwood–Rivalon border area, he pressed his entire finger
pad over ~3 hexes — "I bought this bit" — and everyone was too polite to ask which
bit exactly. - Went to bed at 5 AM with a self-assured nod; Ashlyn later deposited the
passed-out Lash in his hammock.
Session 8
- Found in a Fort Foothold barracks card circle; took the party's roster change
in stride: "You've lost the human guy and now there's a big dragon. I think that's
an upgrade, probably." - Settling in Gwyndinas — they have a trading card game hall, and he's not
going to war ("you leave the safety of the Wall and it's scary out there"). Offered
to draft life insurance policies for the party. - Fixed the finger problem: pointed at one exact hex (option 1), unanimously
ratified — then penned, wax-sealed and distributed two legal documents (to
Lash and Thalia) establishing the party as representatives of
his stake in the land. "Put a little stake in it, maybe build like two houses, and
then let me know" — via the mail service Thalia keeps promising.
