Previously On Reclaiming Orathos
Night settles over New Halfwood, and the party works the half-built camp one conversation at a time! Ten Trinkets Tony hawks his whole stock — dog-whistles, pocket acorns, a fat moonlight pebble — while the camp mage Humphrey spills the real crisis: the settlement is quietly starving, because the druid who conjured its food, Stunghelm Elkheart, vanished eighteen days ago. Up on the eerie cliff, the burned veteran Golgain traces the undead blight to a woods necromancer to the north-west, and names the camp's silent fixture — the Grey Man, a grey-skinned, sleepless undead-slayer who predates the plague by a hundred and fifty years. Thalia and Fenric trail him by moonlight and watch him ride across open water: he's a made thing, kin to the crypt's reassembled tea-party woman.
Then comes the road, the plague-spreader horde, and Stunghelm himself — found alive, calling down a hurricane, feeding the camp in a single casting, and Tree-Striding everyone to the grove he means to cleanse. But the grove has sealed itself behind a domed thorn wall — and nobody knows whether that lockdown keeps the horror out, or in. Left, or right?
SUMMARY: Energetic present-tense recap of Session 46 — New Halfwood's night camp, the Grey Man mystery, the archdruid Stunghelm, and the party's arrival at the sealed, corrupted Druid's Grove.
